OUR SERVICES

We have two Mental Health nurses (Carrie Bates and Jo Gibson) and a Youth Support Worker (Claire Preston). Our team supports young people with a range of difficulties or mental health issues, including young people who may self-harm or have suicidal thoughts ideation. We each provide 1:1 therapy/support and group work.

A Mindful Paws runs on Thursdays from 4-8 pm at the Gateway at Hinchingbrooke School. We accept referrals from any professional working with the young person. You can download a referral form from the Downloads page.

Art & Crafts Social Group

Jo is a Mental Health Nurse in CAMHS with experience with young people with neurodiverse diagnoses. She runs the Arts & Crafts Social group along with our young adult volunteer Abi. The group is a quiet welcoming and safe space for young people to spend time being creative with a space to speak if they feel comfortable to. They will work on seasonal projects, it may be art or craft based, but cooking and games are also a frequent activity. The theme of the group session is most often led by the young people attending.

DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOUR THERAPY (DBT)

Carrie's group is a DBT with dogs' skills group, teaching the basic DBT skills. Her 1:1 support will mainly draw on DBT and other therapeutic interventions but to link in with how dogs manage or how she would help them with similar difficulties.

OTHER PROJECTS

We also have small projects running alongside, the first of which is a yoga group delivered via Zoom
